I added a lighting effect and also keyed in a flatline effect overlay into the center graphic. FYI, if anyone is looking for the lighting filters, like I was, they will not show unless cs5 is in native 32 bit. If you are running 64 bit you must switch it. I used ps in the past and was disapointed in this version that it did not have these filters but stupid me, I figured it out in the end of the semester!

Final Assignment
For our last assignment I chose to design a poster reflecting on the illegal street racing dilemna that plaques the streets of nearly every city in America. I chose the 3 photos to represent the during, after and well unfortunate end that could occur with this dangerous problem. I used several filters on the images to keep the warmness matching as well as to accomplish the hue I was after. The background image was achieved with stacking a few layers and again using film filter as well as overlays. The text is a cool font that my son actually found for a movie we are working on that I thought fit in the dynamic of the design.

Module 5 Digital Enhancements
For this assignment I returned to my anti-child pornography design. During my research I came across a website www.asacp.org which is doing great things in the fight to protect children from online predators. I wanted to design something that included my original design but bring it into a different light. I chose to create a poster for the mentioned website and designed it as if I were designing for them as a client. The design works well because the eyes are lead towards the polaroid of the child yet still observing the look on the guilty mans face in the court room. The text is easy on the eye and the coloring is warm. I used the film filter as well as blur on the background image similar to the effect I did on my last design.

My re-designed book cover for class.
For this assignment I chose a book by Hilary Mantel titled "An Experiment In Love". The effects I used were I did a perspective blur on the woman scientist. I created a new layer with her hand to create a depth of field effect. I also created the wording and edited them with puppet warp as well as overlay and stroking to make them pop a bit more. The original photo of the scientist showed her holding a test tube so I had to remove it, clean the image and then work a pic of a beaker into the design. On the back cover, I found my info from the british council site http://www.contemporarywriters.com/authors/?p=auth67.
My designed covers front, rear plus spine.

Birthday party invitation
I am planning a birthday party for my daughter. This is the invitation I designed. I still have to place the address of the party( we haven't signed the contract at the venue yet) but hopefully early this week it will be complete and off to the printers.
Understanding The Pitbull Terrier
I found this site to be very informative on everything regarding the breed.
