My re-designed book cover for class.

For this assignment I chose a book by Hilary Mantel titled "An Experiment In Love". The effects I used were I did a perspective blur on the woman scientist. I created a new layer with her hand to create a depth of field effect. I also created the wording and edited them with puppet warp as well as overlay and stroking to make them pop a bit more. The original photo of the scientist showed her holding a test tube so I had to remove it, clean the image and then work a pic of a beaker into the design. On the back cover, I found my info from the british council site http://www.contemporarywriters.com/authors/?p=auth67.

My designed covers front, rear plus spine.

Birthday party invitation

I am planning a birthday party for my daughter. This is the invitation I designed. I still have to place the address of the party( we haven't signed the contract at the venue yet) but hopefully early this week it will be complete and off to the printers.

Understanding The Pitbull Terrier

I found this site to be very informative on everything regarding the breed.

Poster Project

So I had a major technical problem with this project haha. For some reason Photoshop would not allow me to enter text! I had to open this in illustrator and just do my text there, hope it doesn't hurt my grade. Anywhoo, the reasoning behind my poster is basically to help prevent child pornography. I chose to go the route of the evidence/polaroid taken of the child in bath from behind the closed door to show that no where is safe. You really don't know when or where a crime against your child may occur. Even the innocent pics a parent may take of their child at bath time could get in the wrong hands at some point. I feel my design is effective because it shows the snap shot as a crime. It doesn't have to have a ton of text explaining itself, it just shows the hard facts.
